Status:Unknown. No current British pairs
Habitat: Arctic Tundra & Northern moorlands
Reproduction: 4-10 eggs from March/April. 32-34 day Incubation.
Diet: Lemmings & other rodents. Some birds even grouse & geese.

Raptor Facts

Male snowy owls turn pure white after 3 years. Females retain the dark barring. Snowy owls bred between 1967 and 1975 on The Shetland Island of Feltar. The snowy owl is a diurnal or daytime hunting owl.
